The thought of the Champs-Élysées has carried me through the Alps the last few days. Well, not really. It was pretty hard.
For us sprinters, the goal is to come over the mountains while saving as much power as possible. But it is not possible to overcome the downhill forces without using some of your strength. The legs feel it. After all we have been underway three weeks now. It rained today as well, but now is time to look forward.
Tomorrow of course I expect a sprint. I think there will be a real showdown - exactly what I like. Of course it would be great to use this last chance to win a stage at the Tour 2016, and to be the first over the finish line on this fabulous stage. We will give all. Until tomorrow.
