The first part of the stage was marked by an escape group and a relatively controlled race. But since no one really led the chase and their was a pretty big time gap to make up at the end, it was a very fast and hard finale. Unfortunately I crashed today with Tony Martin and several other riders. But fortunately I only scraped my knee a little. It was a good day overall for us as a team. Alaphilippe took the white jersey as best young rider by finishing second behind Sagan and Daniel Martin was fourth. Tomorrow may be another sprint. It will be a long day with 220 kilometers. We will see, if a large group comes to the finish. If so, then of course I will want to bring in my first win of the season. Until then.
