Fortunately the organizers shortened the first stage of the Tour de Romandie yesterday. Right after I signed in for the stage a load of snow fell from the roof. There weather here is really extreme. Of course the shortened course played into my hands, because a climb was removed.
In the finale we got it all right, were at the front at the right moment and I could top off the good team work. The team that is here at the start is of course not specialized on sprint finishes. That just makes it all the better and all of us happier that this squad provided such a good lead-out.
The prologue was also ok for me. I noticed that my climbing was good, at least by my standards. The training camp in Spain was worth it. So far this trip to the Swiss mountains has paid.
