Everything has to go! Cabinets, boxes, suitcases. I have looked through all of them for cycling clothing which I no longer need. All in all, it is 100 pieces – jerseys, jackets and time trial suits. I want to auction these off and donate the proceeds to a good cause, namely "Thüringen sagt Ja zu Kindern" ("Thüringen says yes to kids"), which is sponsored by the radio broadcaster Antenna Thüringen, Thüringischer Landeszeitung, Thüringer Landtag, Thüringer Ministerium für Familie, Soziales und Gesundheit and DER PARITÄTISCHEN Thüringen.

This will serve two purposes. My parents will have more free space, and so will I ;-) And at the same time we can hopefully come up with a tidy sum for some important projects

It hasn’t really been easy for me to dispose of these things, some of which are still new and unused. There are a lot of memories involved. Among them are old BDR (national) jerseys from my U-23 times and my first pro years. Somehow I have always thought that I could someday use them or give them away. But all I did was stack them up.

Of course I am not getting rid of everything! I am keeping one set from every year ;-)
