We had big plans today, but things worked out other than planned. The crashes started even before the cobblestone passages. Dege and I were involved. Not much happened to me, I just had to change my bike because a pedal broke. I rode on and saw crashes everywhere. I even rode by Froome as he lay in the grass somewhere. When Dege finally came back to the front, it was clear that things weren’t going well for us today. The race was just not normal. But I guess someone somewhere wanted it that way.
I don’t know yet what exactly is wrong with Dege. I hope that he can attack again. Tomorrow is another chance for us sprinters before we have to suffer in the mountains. We are ready for a sprint. Until tomorrow.
