When you have good legs, you can have a lot of fun. And so the prologue today was really a lot of fun. These short time trials suit me. The course was somewhat technical but I warmed up really well, rode the curves aggressively and took off like a shot. I was motivated and wanted to see how high I could finish. Of course I was very happy that it ended up being third place. In the end I was only four seconds away from the win.

We have just found out that the Pass planned for shortly after the start tomorrow can't be ridden. It is snowing up there. The team presentation and the sign-in will take place as planned, and then we will climb in the train, the cars come on the train as well, and then we will go to what was originally the feed zone, where we will start. It will be interesting to see what that is like. I have never had anything like that before. We don't even know whether we will be in the first or second train.

The race will only be 100 kilometers long, but we must nevertheless get going at 8 a.m. That means it will be a stressful day and surely a hectic race. Short distances like that are usually ridden full gas from start to end. We will see. Until tomorrow.
